Analysis of seismic deformation and structural section force of pile foundation

Application of FLIP ROSE 2D to analysis of pile foundation in liquefiable ground. Among the shake table tests of pile foundation using large scale laminar box, pile foundation C (steel pipe pile) is idealized for two dimensional analysis using “pile-soil interaction spring element”.

Application of FLIP ROSE 3D to three dimensional analysis of pile foundation by Working Group on axial behavior of pile in FLIP Consortium. The analysis results in global behavior of pile in terms of axial load displacement relation and local behavior of soil deformation at pile tip end and in the vicinity.

An example of application of FLIP ROSE 2D to settlements of four story RC building founded on liquefiable ground. The analysis can be generalized to evaluate the effect of adjacent buildings.

Analysis of deformation of deep foundation (pneumatic caisson foundation) during earthquakes

An example of application of FLIP ROSE 2D to simulate damage to Kobe Ohashi bridge during 1995 Hyogoken-Nambu earthquake. The analysis indicates that FLIP ROSE can simulate deformation and response of bridge and foundation system of deep foundation (pneumatic caisson foundation) during earthquakes.

Analysis of deformation and structural section force of underground structure during earthquakes

Application of FLIP ROSE 2D to uplift of a buried pipe with an diameter of 0.4m buried at a depth of 0.4m. Other applications of underground and buried structures can be found in the following reference.
